Dr. Sarah Darish grew up on Long Island.  Her father, Frank Darish, was a harness horse trainer at Roosevelt Raceway for 30 years. Dr. Darish developed her love for horses working as an assistant trainer to her father during high school and college (State University of New York at Stony Brook).  She attended Cornell University Veterinary School and graduated in 1985.  She began practicing on Long Island shortly after graduation, and has continued to do so since 1985.  Her interests include lameness and colic management.

Dr. Sarah Darish, DVM  

Dr. Lance Karcher grew up in Jamesville, a rural farm community in upstate New York.  He attended Cornell University as an undergraduate as well as Cornell Veterinary School.  He graduated in 1985 and practiced upstate for one year before returning to Cornell to complete his residency in large animal medicine for two years.  Upon completion, he became Board certified in large animal internal medicine and has been practicing on Long Island since 1989.  He taught an equine studies course a C.W. Post College and also Suffolk Community College at Knoll Farm.  His interests include internal medicine, ophthalmology and dentistry.
